Many recent studies have proven that are planet is enduring massive climate changes. Climate change is a dangerous threat that has been increasing for many years. There are scientists that suggest the climate changes we are seeing are due to pollution caused by man. The climate change in recent years show that our temperatures are rising. This does not mean that all of the planet is facing warmer temperatures. In fact many places on earth are experiencing extreme cold temperatures and that can bring more snowfall than usual. It is unfortunate that there are many elected officials, most seem to be republicans, who do not believe the scientific evidence and choose to ignore record temperatures. The current democratic president is urging both the House of Representatives and the Senate to pass legislation that will help prevent further climate change and transition our current energy sources to cleaner sources. However, this process has been delayed due to the politicians who choose to treat climate change as a political disadvantage to them for reasons unknown to the general public.

The conservatives who do not believe that there are dangerous climate changes, promote their views by choosing to only use the term “global warming”. They might be doing this because when there are snow storms or extreme cold temperatures in certain places, they can make climate change advocates look unintelligent by saying that temperatures are still lower in many cities around the world. The recent climate changes we see in our world suggest that we are experiencing global warming. Scientists have explained that when temperatures rise, the rate of evaporation increases, causing more snow than usual in some parts of the world. There has also been another theory that the glaciers and polar ice caps that are located near Greenland are melting and the ice cold water is flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. It is well known that temperatures are influenced by the surrounding oceans or large bodies of water. If oceans are filled with ice water, the weather will reflect that. This could be why climate changes are producing colder temperatures in some places. However, conservative politicians choose to ignore this part of explanation and focus strictly on the term global warming. Many people cannot understand why these politicians and critics of climate changes are turning this issue into another republican vs democrat political argument.

Advocates of climate change are doing their best to spread their message, but there is a lot more that needs to be done. Climate change does not just affect democrats or republicans or even any other political party; it affects the entire world. Everyone should be a supporter of making this world a cleaner and safer place.

Several studies have shown that the global climate has become warmer over the last century. Global climates have become warmer due largely in part because of greenhouse gases that are produced by man. These gases are dangerous to our earth’s atmosphere. They disrupt the way our planet works and steal energy from the sun. Many global warming critics argue that global climate change is one hundred percent natural and man has no impact on the global climates. Many of the critic’s claims and theories have been debunked and proven to include false information. It seems that this might have been done in order to advance a political agenda. Only time will tell how this debate will pan out, but it would seem unlikely that politically driven critics who present false and dishonest information could win the debate over evidence of thousands of scientists and climate experts who make the study of global climates their profession.

* Climate is the overall median weather in a given place over the coarse of more than three decades. Global climates combine and average the weather from all regions. One study suggests that the global climate of the last ten years was the warmest decade in thousands of years.

* Some conservative politicians see global warming and it’s effect on global climates as a threat to some of their business relationships. Many companies that deal with oil and other fossil fuels will be left behind once we transition from these fuels to a new cleaner source of energy. Some suggest that these companies influence politicians in exchange for loyalty. Loyalty that will help them with tax cuts for big business and broaden their financial freedoms. This may be why many elected officials argue that the global climate is warmer due only to natural causes.

In an age before the internet and many of today’s technologies, it would seem more likely that proving global warming exists would be an almost impossible task. Not only would we not be able to find out lots of the information that we now can do to advances in science and technology, but it would incredibly difficult to spread the message of global warming. In 2010, there are so many programs for instant communication and that makes it a lot easier to inform people the dangers of global warming and what we can do as individuals to help prevent the the threat from getting worse. People who believe that the warmer global climate is due to mostly humans need to keep informing people about the issue. Scientists keep doing studies that prove this theory more and more as time goes on. In this case, knowledge is indeed power and we cannot let critics obstruct this important message just so they can stay in office and keep their friends rich.

For many years, scientists have been doing studies to determine different reasons for global climate change. Global climate change suggests that the average weather of the planet is changing. Most scientists claim that one of the main reasons for global climate change is the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is the term used to explain the process in which several gases form a layer around the planet that traps the heat from the sun inside the layer. There are plenty of scientists and experts who study global climate change that suggest we start changing our ways and that we make that change very quickly.

* The greenhouse effect was discovered in the early to mid 1800s. The gases that are included in the greenhouse effect started being produced more rapidly during the industrial revolution in the mid 1800s.

* The government has invested very large sums of money in order to research and develop alternative and renewable forms of energy. If we keep using foreign oil, not only will we continue to destroy our planet with greenhouse gases, but we will become bankrupt.

* Two of the best sources of alternative energy are wind and solar power. Wind power works by giant windmills that create and store energy when they spin, which is obviously a result of the wind. The problem with wind power is that the windmills are gigantic in size and there must be many of them in one location. These windmills are very expensive and many critics get concerned simply because it is not always windy and that could effect its production. Solar power works with a large panel or series of panels that create energy from the rays of the sun. As long as there is light, these panels are creating and storing energy. Solar panels are also very expensive which concerns critics as well.

There are many other sources of renewable energy, but every option comes with concern about cost, productivity, sustainability and long term benefit. President Barack Obama is the most active president when it comes to alternative energy in recent history. The stimulus package that his administration passed, included billions of dollars for research and development of alternative energy. President Obama is doing everything in his power to not only keep America competitive in the 21st century, but to make the country financially sound and the planet cleaner. When the scientific evidence of global warming is overwhelming, there is no reason not to act. America must lead by example once again in order to provide a cleaner planet for future generations.
