Global Warming

Most of the causes of global warming are due to human activity. Many of the activities we do on a daily basis produce greenhouse gases that disrupt the way our planet works in relation to the sun and its energy. Global warming causes many people to worry about the future of our planet. If we do not start taking bigger steps to stop this problem, the causes of global warming can end our existence as we know it.

One of the most important parts about global warming causes is knowing each different type of greenhouse gas and why the causes of global warming are dangerous to our planet. The most popular and common greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide which can be produced by burning fossil fuels and waste. Another dangerous gas would be methane would is released by developing and moving fossil fuels. Methane is much more dangerous than carbon dioxide. Out of all the greenhouse gases, the one that there seems to be the most of is water vapor. Nitrous oxide and fluorinated gases are some other major gases as well. These gases are the main causes of global warming. While there is nothing we can do about the gases themselves, there are many steps we can take in order to massively reduce the amount of these gases that are released into our atmosphere. Many of these steps can be taken by any one individual, however, other steps will need help from our governments.

The issue of global warming causes people to be skeptical. That is why there are many critics who not only question the global warming causes, but the existence of global warming itself. There are many politicians who are trying to convince the American people that climate change is only natural and man has no effect on it whatsoever. Many conservative politicians have used snow storms as an example. This winter, our country has seen some bad storms especially in and around our nation’s capitol. However, many liberals believe it is foolish to say that heavy snow in the north east in February proves that global warming doesn’t exist. What is more troubling is that whether you believe in the threat of global warming or not, we should all agree to take steps to make our planet cleaner. Unfortunately, many of those same people who deny the existence of global warming are against these steps as well.

The causes of global warming are real. There is scientific evidence to support that claim. This is not a political issue. This is a real world problem that is a threat to every member of this planet. We must take action and prevent this threat from growing any stronger.
